Your privacy is of the highest importance to us, and we promise to protect it in accordance with this policy.
In the course of working with customers and potential customers we may collect personal information for example your name, address, email address and telephone number. In addition, for users of our electronic vehicle charging app we collect details of your vehicle, its location and charging history. We also collect payment information so that you can make and (where applicable) receive payments. All such information is held on secure servers with password or other login protection enabled. Occasionally we may access data on phones or mobile devices (with password or biometric access security) and transmit data on services such as Whatsapp that we believe to be reasonably secure. Ultraleds complies fully with all applicable Data Protection legislation, and we'll treat all your personal information as confidential.
If you browse our website we may also collect, and our third party providers (e.g. Google Analytics) may collect, information about where you are on the internet (e.g. the URL you came from, IP address, domain types like .co.uk and .com), your browser type, the country and telephone area code where your computer is located, the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit ("User Information").
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- Keeping track of customer and prospect information so we know how to contact you and we have a record of our conversations and communications;
- To take payments and process orders;
- In relation to the electic vehicle charging service, so that you can find charging points and other people can locate your charging point; and to keep track of charging activity and associated payments;
- For statistical or survey purposes to improve our website, app and the services we provide to you;
- To administer this website and our app;
We may disclose relevant information to third party installers for the purpose of installing an electric vehicle charger including your name, address and contact details.
We may ask if you (on an opt-in basis) if you wish to receive information from Ultraleds by e-mail, SMS, telephone or by post, about products, promotions or special offers which we feel may be of interest to you. We may disclose your contact details (e.g. email address) to a service provider (e.g. mailchimp) to process mailings for us. They are also under an obligation to comply with data protection legislation and to keep your personal information confidential.
In the event that you do not wish to be contacted for such purposes, just let us know. You may unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of an email.
Your data may be processed on our behalf by companies under common control with us and by third parties. We have entered into contracts with those processors under which they agree certain things such as only processing/accessing your data for permitted purposes and to take steps to keep it secure. We have required that all such data is held in the UK or EU.
Your Personal Information may be disclosed to other businesses under common control with us. We will not release your Personal Information to any company outside of the TRV group for their mailing or marketing purposes. However, if we are acquired or sell one of our businesses we may transfer your Personal Information to the new owner to be used by them and their group companies.
You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your Personal Information and /or User Information, we are entitled do so.
You can delete your account. After you make a deletion request, we permanently and irreversibly delete your personal data from our systems, although this may exclude backups for a limited period. Once deleted, your data, cannot be reinstated. We may retain information where deletion requests are made to comply with the law and take other actions permitted by law.
